The case for each
The Silence of the Lambs: Jonathan Demme's 1991 thriller: FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) asks the imprisoned Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) for help catching a killer. One of only three films to win all five top Oscars.
Psycho: Hitchcock's 1960 shocker, which made the killer next door a genre: Norman Bates, the Bates Motel and the shower scene. Robert Bloch's novel drew on the Ed Gein case, which later fed Buffalo Bill too.
